First 10 Questions WWW- I like the part where you analyse Doctor Who and you pick up on good aspects such as the science fiction props. Well done for trying the extension task - although you didn't do it in enough detail!  🙂 EBI- Your li teracy needs to be more accurate (SPAG) and you need to give as much detail as you can and proofread your work to check for errors for instance you say 'them topics' instead of 'those topics'. You say you want to get a grade 6-7 but you are not using capital letters!    Mise-en-scene WWW: You are using some great observation skills using all the aspects of LIAR in the photo from Stranger Things which shows that you are starting to pick up on the details and the effect on the audience that these have. You are using connotate and connote really well which shows you are elevating your answers using media terminology. Well done!  Adverts- Denotation and Connotation WWW-You have analysed  the Water Aid advert well with some good ide...

Mise-en-scene:Stranger things opening analysis

Setting: At the start of the clip we can see that this is set in a lab because of how the hallway and lift looks. This shows us connotations that this was set in a science lab since the hallways are plain and grey and have no sense of colour. This also shows us that this could be a high level lab which only deals with high level experiments such as changing the appearance of an animal which could be very hazardous. Also we can see that this does not look like any normal science lab since the design and layout is very different to any normal science lab. Actor placement/movement/expression:  At the start we can see that the actors movement is very fast paced and that he is running from something. Also we can see that the actors facial expressions is very scared and it looks like they are panicking. The actors movement shows connotations that the actor is running from something deadly. The actors facial expressions shows connotations that the actor is scared and feels like they might...

Language:  “Talk to me”-short and catchy and is a phrase so that the audience can see it and think yes this is a good movie. The director is also showing us that this is a horror movie by the font (looks  hollow, mirror like to engage the audience) has smaller text (copies any other type of horror movie that has ever been released. Audience: I feel like this mo vie is mainly targeted towards female because of the title ‘talk to me’ and i feel like females normally always hear this word on a daily basis because of their emotion or their looks.I also feel like this movie represents people being watched and normally in reality women are always feeling like they are being watched when they are alone. Representation: In the picture we can see a hand which has words written all over it which could represent bad things that have happened or bad thought of the person.I feel like it represents a person watching someone and all the bad words on the hand are words that have came ou...

POINT:   The producer of the advert is trying to convey that the young boy needs help and does not have resources for him to survive. We can see this by the title of the ad “dig toilets, not graves,”this quote shows us that this boys country could have gone through some type of natural disaster and that’s why this ad has been made. EVIDENCE :The producer does this by using a close up shot of the little boy and we can see that he is not very happy and he is obviously really sad about something that happened. We can also see that the boy looks very dirty which could tell us that he has not showered in quite a while or had not had access to any water in the past days. EFFECT: This effects the reader because it persuades us to help the little boy so that they can have access to more toilets instead of graves. It also effects sensitive people because it will make them want to help the little boy more because they feel very worried about him and they want him to have a happier and bet...
