It meets the conventions of a dramatic  narrative which is usually linear and this continues across episodes.It also has an ensemble cast because all the characters have their own storyline.

The genre that is suggested by His Dark Materials is science fantasy.

Narrative:It follows the coming of age of two children,as they wander through a series of parallel universes.
Characters:Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry,Witches,Religious men.

There are many different settings that appear in the trailer such as a jungle/forest,a lab,a college,a town

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.

It has been marketed as young adult fiction and the central characters are children however there was no intentional target audience in mind.
