Preliminary exercise feedback and learner response

Create a new blogpost called ‘Preliminary exercise feedback and learner response’ and then copy in the feedback below. Complete the learner response task below the feedback.

WWW: Your editing skills are really very good here – lots to credit. Excellent continuity editing, clear narrative communicated, and an attempt at a pack product shot at the end of the advert. You were able to film a lot in the allocated time during our lesson – good time management displayed.

EBI: The preliminary exercise advert length was between 30-40 seconds and yours is well over, not a problem for our real coursework but ensure you meet the minimum requirements.  In terms of the editing, the main feedback from this project is the audio. The section where the conversation takes place needs to be louder. The product pack shot is too fast, and I am not sure the typography and colour make it appealing or links to the product enough. You can also see the background of the white pop-up screen which makes it feel amateurish.

LR: As your learner response, write what you are planning to make for your real coursework. Will you choose to make the 2 video adverts or 3 print adverts? Explain your decision.

For my real advert I will be doing the two video adverts  because I think that it is better than the 3 print adverts because there is a better way of communicating the message of my drink as a whole. Also I think that doing the preliminary task was easy and fun so I would rather do that than a print advert.
