2) What is conglomerate ownership and how does it link to Black Widow?

Conglomerate ownership is a corporation made up of several different,independent businesses.One company owns a controlling stake in smaller companies that can conduct business operations separately.This links to Black Widow because Disney bought Marvel.Disney did this so that they could use the characters that Marvel had created.

3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

One aspect is that the characters in the film trailer are well know (high class actors).This shows that it is a big-budget 
blockbuster because Disney would have had to pay a lot of money to hire these characters.A second aspect is the setting.We can tell its a big-budget blockbuster from this because it is not any ordinary setting that you would see daily.It shows that there was a lot of money put in to the setting.


4) How was Black Widow promoted to an audience?

Black widow was promoted to a 12A type of audience.It was for people who enjoyed action and much more.There were some strategies to help promote it which included traditional methods such as posters and teaser trailers on TV and in Cinema.

5) What was the production budget for Black Widow and how much did it make at the box office?

The production budget for Black Widow was $289 million dollars.In the Box Office Black Widow only made $379 million dollars.

6) Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?

I would not consider Black Widow as a successful Hollywood blockbuster because the profit made from the film was not that much money.Normally films made by Disney would have made over 5 more times profit from the amount of money that was actually spent on the production.Due to Covid-19 and everybody staying at home and not going to Cinemas,Black Widow was not able to make the maximum profit that they wanted.

Black Widow was given an age rating of 12A by the British Board of Film Classification.Black Widow was deemed to have "moderate violence,injury detail" however it was not too graphic.

In the Marvel Black Widow website it firstly presents you with the trailer.This helps to promote the film because it lets the audience see what the film is going to be about.This engages the reader because a trailer is short and snappy and can leave you on a cliff-hanger making you want to watch the real thing.Also at the top of the website it shows different parts such as comics,characters,movies,tv shows,games,etc.This appeals the audience because they can find out other things about Black Widow and be able to buy things from the website.

9) Look at the Marvel Black Widow website. How does the website help to promote the film? Give specific examples from the website and how they appeal to the audience.

Audience interaction is very important because it shows peoples honest opinion about the film and it helps people decide if they want to watch the film or not.Without audience interaction films would not be able to be promoted to maximum point because there is no honesty made about the film.
